During Forest Schools Club, a group of children and their parents have been visiting Staffordshire University Woodlands Forest School. This was a fantastic experience for both the children and adults and they enjoyed each of the sessions provided.
Over the six weeks, they created nature books, hunted for bugs (this was a favourite activity of the group), looked for different seeds and leaves, measured the height of trees using Pythagoras and created natural art.
It was lovely to spend time as a family in the outdoors and the confidence of all grew as the sessions progressed. Although, we were still close to the city centre and school it was lovely to see the beauty of nature and we certainly felt relaxed spending time in it.
